Lizzy's personal vocal research specializes with aging amateur voices. In August 2021 she presented her research, "ESTABLISHING NORMATIVE VIBRATO VALUES IN AGING SINGERS" at the Pan American Vocology Association conference. This passion for working with aging singers had led to her offering a unique opportunity to work with community choirs in large vocal workshops. She recently completed a workshop with the Commonwealth Chorale in Boston, MA. Contact her for this resource, which she tailors to fit directly with your choir's needs!
Lizzy is also pleased to offer Musical Theater recording sessions in her home. A 60 minute recording session includes space with lively acoustics and blue or green backdrop, a live pianist accompaniment, coaching prior to recording, 4k video recording and high resolution audio recording with provided studio mic. This is a perfect opportunity for professionals submitting for casting opportunities or high school students submitting for college auditions.
As a graduate of the vocal pedagogy masters program at New England Conservatory, Lizzy studied under Dr. Ian Howell in the NEC Voice and Acoustics laboratory. Now based in NYC, Lizzy will continue her studies in vocal pedagogy under renown pedagogues Dr. Ana Flavia Zuim, Dr. Justin Moniz, and Dr. Errik Hood. With her bachelor's of neuroscience and background as a neuroscience researcher (Swarthmore College), Lizzy used neurological approaches to singing instruction and the memorization of music. She has a complex understanding of the cranial nerves and motor learning theory to support students who are looking for a non-cookie-cutter approach to learning to sing. Lizzy also uses her experiences as a performer of pop, jazz, opera, musical theater, and choral music to support her teaching philosophies. Book a session below!
