I'm so thrilled that you are here and interested in learning more about voice lessons with me!
Teaching voice and conducting research in vocal pedagogy bring me as much joy as performing does, and I feel so fortunate to be on this life path. I use my background in neuroscience and cognition to guide my students toward results in their chosen genre as efficiently as possible. Through concepts from motor learning theory, I help my students quickly identify tensions in their bodies that are stopping them from singing with their most free and released sound. I utilize my strong background in psychoacoustics to help students find balance in vocal color, while allowing them the freedom to adjust to a genre's needs. My approach to voice teaching is student-centered: I am committed to creating a safe environment for my students to explore new sounds and find repertoire that aligns with who they are as people. Most importantly, I center fun and joy in my work with students so that, no matter where they are in their development, they can feel the healing effects of singing in their bodies.
